Marketing Operations Analyst

 

The Marketing Operations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the marketing department. This role will partner closely with Vice Presidents and Directors on planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and driving strategic initiatives. This position is an integral part of the marketing team and is responsible for driving key objectives for the Redbox organization.

 


Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, including building templates and analytic tools used to support the process.
  • Develop financial tools and models to aid in decision making and partner with business leaders to build and analyze business cases for departmental initiatives.
  • Facilitate key business decisions by identifying funding options and tradeoffs.
  • Partner with marketing leadership to drive ownership of expense forecast and budget.
  • Communicate complex financial information in a way that is easily understood and actionable by senior non-financial leaders.
  • Support tracking and reporting on consolidated results and plans on an on-going basis.
  • Develop KPI performance tracking tools and dashboards to facilitate achievement of department goals.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and other activities as needed


Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or related field; MBA a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in business functional or financial analysis/reporting function with emphasis in marketing
  • High level proficiency in Excel (Advanced) and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with Tableau, SAP Inventory, Financials and reporting tools a plus.

  • Demonstrates strong competency in relevant financial skills, such as the basics of accounting and financial analysis
  • Proven analytic and quantitative decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interface effectively with management
  • Ability to influence decision-making processes without having specific authority
  • Comfortable operating within a dynamic and complex organizational structure, and be effective in a team-oriented environment
  • Technologically savvy, driving effective means of reporting critical business information
  • Strong work ethic and results orientation required for fast paced, customer-focused environment
  • A passion for interacting in a positive and creative manner with customers, team members and developing partners.
  • Extreme attention to detail and quality control
